I hope that I do not take up too much of ur time. I would like to explain one of the key areas that I am working toward.
Many people feel that the mounting problems of this world will be solved with logic, or science. Or in other words, our well known daily state of mind. Ps, one of the problems I refer to is pollution. Both logic, and science, can be some what helpfull. How ever the state of our world, comes from who we are. In order to heal our world, in a full and long term way. We must change our perception to a spiritual view point. A spiritual view point, helps us understand that lasting joy comes from within the authentic self. The self may be the CREATOR. Not the very acculturated, conditioned daily self. Objects, and things, do not bring deep lasting joy. The daily self is the very limited often fear full self. When we live from a spiritual view point, only then, will deep long term healing take place. Many blessings,
Do not worry about taking up too much of my time. i might be a bit slow in responding sometimes as you have probably noticed.
There is the old saying - every solution creates 3 more problems, evidenced by our attempts to fix our pollution, our water shortages and other myriad problems of our modern western world. there does have to be a grounding in just being practical.
How much can we consume? How far can i drive or fly?
I would agree that we have to have a spiritual aspect of our lives and in the best sense that we act with this as our guidepost, but what about all the billions of other people in the world? we can set examples. we can live within our means and regional existence, but does this stop the keystone pipeline? does this take all the pcb out of the salish sea so that we can eat the fish without sickness?
Most people are in the here and now which can often mean that desire for a new car, a happy meal or my next door neighbor's wife. our culture is so mind based so enlarging of this part of our being that it is out of whack. the mind is
Mostly about fear in our culture - fear of losing, fear of not having enough.
Fear separates us from the world, and our educational system has done a wonderful job of giving so much weight to this mind to the point that it is causing us to teeter over.
One the of the modalities of healing that i practice utilizes the Chinese 5 element framework. in this system 5,000 year old system of looking at life, or i should say the human being in life, is that there are 12 officials (westerns call them organs)
That allow us to be in the world.
In this worldview, the heart is the supreme controller. the brain is not even one of the 12 officials. it is not even recognized as important. the spleen is more important.
To stop my ramblings, yes i agree that we need to live more from the heart!
